my wife and i loved the theme of the cruise, in the footsteps of the Vikings. we were able to go places where we were not likely to go, the Faroe Islands, Norway, Greenland, L'anse aux meadows. we saw icebergs up close, large and small. including the pre-cruise excursion we were away from daily responsibilities for three weeks and we ate well, enjoyed massages, went on excellent shore excursions, and wound up completely rested and relaxed. indeed, my colleagues at work are always a bit fearful about whether or not i will return to work after a cruise. there's something magical about living on board a ship! but so far, i have returned to work, mostly to be able to earn some more money to enjoy another Viking cruise. my wife and i have already booked our next Viking cruise for the summer of 2019 in the same type of cabin we had on the Sky, but on the starboard side instea.
