EVERY employee on the ship was friendly, courteous and helpful with any need or request. Our cabin steward was wonderful.
The inclusive onshore excursions is a really nice option, but people may need to be reminded that although they are inclusive, you still need to sign up for them. The inclusive beer and wine at lunch and dinner is a nice perk and the food was very good. Also, restocking the in room refrigerator at no cost to a limited degree is appreciated.
The spa area is wonderful with the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, snow room and steam room. I did not utilize the workout room but did book a fantastic massage and facial.
The on board entertainment was fairly limited to historic lectures and a great deal of classical music although there was one afternoon of a trivia contest. Possibly some livelier entertainment would be fun to attract a younger crowd.
The cruise was fairly expensive when compared to other lines that visit the same ports but Viking offers several extras for that added expense.
The cabin was a typical balcony
Rainy day. No one's fault but not terribly pleasant
