I have been on over a dozen cruises and this one was the best. Starting from the baggage claim. Someone met us and took care of our luggage, showed us to the bus, offered water and pretty much took care of everything from start to finish. The embarkation was by far the easiest I've ever experienced as was the disembarkation. The food was wonderful, we ate in most all the restaurants including the buffet which was more like a restaurant. The buffet was a pleasure to to go, not like going to a Chucky Cheese, more upscale and relaxed. The ship in general was lovely, there wasn't one location that hasn't been carefully thought through to inspire relaxation, a sense of peace and beauty. My favorite place was the Vitality pool in the spa area. There is a whole area, with sauna, snow grotto, hot tub and Vitality pool that is no additional cost. It was such a peaceful beautiful place to be. It would be hard to choose one aspect of Viking that is superior, Viking has covered all their bases, service, beauty, maintaining an atmosphere of tranquility, and so much more. This ship served Afternoon Tea and it was completely delightful, I love hot tea and drink it every day, but this was by far one of my most enjoyable experiences having tea. This is our 2nd trip with Viking, we did a riverboat cruise in France last summer and plan another riverboat cruise this summer. Their cruise line did not disappoint, they have a loyal customer in us!
