This cruise was recommended by friends This was our first river cruise.We had been on many ocean cruises. We discovered they are not alike. We had high expectations and Viking Cruises surpassed these. Beautiful ship, wonderful crew, amazing adventures, delicious food and enjoyable entertainment. Viking took all the worry and concerns away, leaving us to enjoy the cruise and make wonderful memories. From our arrival at the airport to our departure from the airport, Viking took outstanding care of their cruisers. Embarkation was simple and quick. The entire crew went out of their way to meet our every need. The shore excursions were well planned and orchestrated. Provisions such as umbrellas and water were provided. Tour guides were informative and personable. The afternoon cruise down the Rhine to view historic castles and hear history of each was on,y on of the highlights of this cruise. Highly recommend this adventure to anyone who loves history and beauty all rolled into one trip.
