We have travelled on Viking before, on a River Cruise and wanted to try the Ocean Cruise to compare. We found most things to be the same however unlike the River Cruise our gratuities were not included. This does add a bit to the over all expense at the end of the cruise.

We did find that the first two days at our Pre-Cruise Hotel a bit disappointing considering the price we had to pay per person. The rooms were very dated and the furniture was very worn which kind of made one not want to spend much time in the room. As well we did not find the bar are area very inviting.

One last point that we disliked was that we had to have out luggage out or our room extremely early in the morning and that we had to vacate the room before 10:00am. Leaving the room so early requiring us to sit in the small lobby until 1:00pm waiting for the bus. Not a good experience for anyone. And in particular for my wife who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. She was truly uncomfortable to say the least.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

The cabin was very nice. We did find it a little small compared to others on our deck but I guess that is what we paid for.
