We like Celebrity and have, to date, always enjoyed the quality, cleanliness and service on their cruises. We chose this itinerary as its a new area to us.
We boarded at around 7pm and, maybe because Celebrity no longer offer this or maybe because we boarded so late, we missed the welcoming glass of sparkling wine. Not an important thing, but it's one of those small touches that we had enjoyed on previous Celebrity cruises.
Our cabin looked fine and we quickly unpacked. We specially enjoyed having the first night in port as it gave us extra time to enjoy Hong Kong.
Our first cabin was 3136 and I definitely don't recommend it to anyone who isn't deaf. It looked fine when we entered, but was impossible for us to sleep in. 3136 is a cabin that was added recently, in what used to be a function room. When we went to guest relations, the lady that came to help us explained the reason for the excessive noise and vibration.
Luckily, we were moved to a new ocean view cabin and, from then on, were able to sleep in peace without being all shook up when we went to bed.
I don't know just what category the cabin was. As I couldn't submit the review without ticking a category, I've ticked the middle one in the exterior category.
