Got into SF the day before cruise. Weather in the 70s and sunny! Stayed at Hilton in the Financial District and ate in Chinatown for dinner.
Another beautiful day for embarkation! Little slow getting on the ship due to number of passengers needing wheelchairs. Found our cabin (D317) and we were impressed with the amount of space in a mini-suite. Explored the ship after lunch and returned to our cabin to find our luggage had arrived. Went up on deck for launch and got great photos of the underside of the Golden Gate Bridge! We used Anytime Dining and it had good and bad points. We loved being seated with different folks every evening but the reservation system for seating was hit or miss. Food was good. Also enjoyed the Pub Lunch they had twice during the cruise.
We watched a couple of production shows on the cruise but decided those kind of shows aren't for us. Saw a comedy show we liked. They were showing several first run movies either on the Lido deck, Princess theater or on the television.
Roomy and well laid out. Loved having a bathtub. Lots of closet space even with 3 large bags. Loved having full size couch. Furniture was a little worn and both televisions were a little old.
Took cab downtown to the beginning of the Malecon. Walked the Malecon and bought some artwork. Had lunch and took cab back to ship. Dropped off art in cabin and walked across the street to Walmart to pick up a few essentials.
Beautiful day! Walked into town but there really isn't much to do there. Interesting to see how the locals spend their Sunday.
