We picked this trip so we could go to NOLA, cruise down the Mississippi, and Cozumel. We had a balcony room, deck 9, there were 3 of us, and had anytime dinning.

NOLA didn't disappoint. The city was a lot of fun. I didn't think about the fact it gets dark about 6pm so we didn't see much of the Mississippi. Next time we go it will be a different ship and a different time of year. Cozumel was fun and an easy port to get off at. The Triumph is an older ship and showing age bad. The couch in our room was tore, carpet stains, and some rusty spots at the bathroom door. There were 3 of us and had plenty of room. There were no strange smells or problems with the toilet. We did have to wait 45 minutes one night to get seated for anytime dinning. Once in the dinning room the service was faster that night then any other night. Food was ok, nothing special. My 17 yr old daughter had a great time at the teen club. Carnival has never disappointed there. The crew was friendly. Always had a smile and a hello. The ship did breakdown again and we were 5 hours late leaving Progreso, but the shops and casino were open and we arrived back on time. Cruising out of NOLA was easy and I would do it again. The Triumph is old and tired, her dry dock is over due. With the ship slated to do longer trips out of New York in 2019 she is going to need some serious work. I've spent less for better trips.
