We chose this cruise because of the S. American itinerary and because the Muse was a new ship.We were concerned about the previous negative reviews we had read related to dining and formal nights and we were pleased to see that these items were not an issue.

We never had a problem getting a reservation in any of the restaurants even though we changed many of our original reservations. There were 3 "formal " nights but over half of the men wore suits instead of more formal attire.

Service was very impressive throughout the ship.It was nice having premium bar service included in the cruise package and the no tipping policy was appreciated.

Cabin Review

Silver Suite 1

Cabin S1

Cabin was adequate but not impressive. There was inadequate storage in the main cabin and very few drawers to place personal articles. There were absolutely NO drawers in the closets, and just four shelves to hold shoes, underware, and all the other small items one needs while cruising.

The sliding doors separating the bedroom from main salon had no locking mechanism so doors slid back and forth when ship experienced active seas. It would have been nice to have had a second sofa or love seat where your partner could recline while reading or watching a movie. One had to use the bed instead or bring in a deck lounge chair into main cabin to recline if partner was using the sofa.

Both of us caught food borne viruses or food poisoning and had to be quarintined in our cabin for a few days. Medical team was exceptional but we sure wished that we had not needed to use them.
