Boarded the solstice in Sydney and 1st impressions of the ship were excellent. Had a glass of champagne as we boarded then took a walk around the ship trying to familiarise where most venues were.

We then walked up the top of the ship and checked out the beautiful lawn club area. Checked out the sunset and oceanview bars and had a couple of drinks before having lunch in the oceanview cafe. The whole embarkation process ran smoothly as we were on board this beautiful ship by 11am.

During the cruise we dined in the oceanview cafe ( buffet ) , the Tuscan grill and murano. Food in all venues were good to excellent as was the main dining room the grand epernay. We had anytime dining which worked well for us as we did the 7pm show then dinner afterwards. Speaking of shows we considered them to be excellent. The music from the house band was very good as was a female Canadian singer Jessica, we thought Jessica was brilliant.
