Cabin: Balcony

I had never cruised on the Triumph. I was excited to cruise on it before it changed ports. I’d been on the Elation and the Dream and had never cabin space issues. Those 2 ships were spacious enough for me. I had a balcony cabin with 3 occupants. I couldn’t believe how tight the space was. It was not possible to stand at the foot of the bed and allow someone else to pass. One of the 2 people would have to either turn around or back out of the narrow aisle to allow the other to get through. After a couple days of too much closeness, we all started to bicker because none of us felt we were far enough away from each other at any time. Any item of clothing that was left lying around caused the room to appear very terribly disheveled.

When trying to sleep in the middle of the night, I was frequently awakened (not by hall noise) but by clanking, clunking noises inside the ship from some place, that I could actually feel the vibration of! I have never experienced that before.

Also, every day of the cruise, around 11:00 a.m., we all began to smell strong urine smells in the bathroom, even directly after it was cleaned by the staff. Those smells wafted into the room and lingered all day!

Cabin 8C

I’ve never had a cabin so compact and tight. There was no room to pass another person in the aisle at the foot of the bed. I got claustrophobic.
