We wanted to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary by doing something special.
.IMHO, a 14 day cruise to the Southern Caribbean qualifies. And it was indeed memorable. Thanks to many people especially our cabin attendant, two Customer Service presonnel plus the Executive Housekeeper. To our surprise, Our cabin was beautifully decorated with baloons, stramers and 'wedding bells". And there were some "goodies" as well...both edible and drinkable. On the day of our annuiversary we had dinner at the Moderno. We were advised to tell the maitre 'd that it was a special date. At the end of the meal he served a large sort-of sheet cake. This was kind of ordinary. But when seven of the staff came out and serenaded us with "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" THAT was really memorable. We gave them a big Thank You and I did advise them not to give up there day jobs to which they agreed It was a really fun night. Maybe not as good as our honeymoon night but just as memorable.
We had a mid-ship mini suite cabin. Ity was OK but the balcony was only big enough for two ..no partying there. I was disappointed that there were no drawers in cabin.just open shelves. This 'worked' but I still had to live out of my suitcase for some things that were better off in a drawer than on a shelf. The shower was great. It was a bit of a learning curve to figure it out. And with a one bed configuration, one had to get out of bed to turn off the 'reading light' on the closet side. There is no night light. We kept Bath Room light on & door closed. The temp controls worked fine but slow response.Coffee maker a nice add on. (I did miss "spell check" whilst writing this.)

The local Chamber of Commerse has come up with a detailed 'walking tour' of this port. It is a long walk but very enjoyable. Pick up directinal maps at Tourist kiosk when you get off ship. Check out the 'floating market'
This port had the best shopping. Close to dock so little walking to get to shopping area which was hugh. VERY diversified and great prices on everything.
