Took this trip as friends were going on it and we were going to make Platinum level, which we did and got to cruise out of San Francisco, CA and visit this city prior to the cruise. We are a married couple 52/51. we arrived 4 days early and stayed on town at 2 hotels, Parc 55 Hilton & Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Warf. The weather was excellent! Sunny & warm. We toured many sites, went to the symphony, ate at some fantastic local restaurants, Tadish being the best. Got a 3 day Muni transit pass & an excellent choice. Took BART in from SFO to the first hotel etc. good choice.

Embarkation/disembarkation went very well. Arrived Feb 6th at 1130 & on board by 1220. Room ready. We had a 1300-1500 board time FYI. Disembarkation again really good. We had a flight back home for 1255PM. we were off the ship at 0845, through customs & on the transfer bus (Princess) all in about 10-15 minutes. That was as well getting two suitcases. And arrived airport (SFO) by 1000AM (flight delayed an hour).

See stateroom comments for the B331 overall room was excellent as was the bed.

Cabin BB

We had a balcony cabin Baja 331 overall room was comfortable, quiet, clean (excellent job by out Steward Christian). The bed was awesome. We loved it. The bathroom was of good size, with the shower stall not too bad. The bathroom is dated a tad as is the room decor overall and a bit "well worn: but OK. The closet is tiny in comparison to other Princess ships we have been on and the safe, & shelves small as well. Good storage under the bed though. This room was mid-forward & about 2 cabins away from being in the official "mid-ship" category with stateroom across the hall. Found this to be an excellent location overall for access & most important to us a quiet cabin with no service ship work being done across the hallway. Now, lastly, we could smell what seemed like sewage from the balcony especially on port days.

Port Reviews

Puerto Vallarta

Took a bus from the ship into town. City dirty a bit.

Manzanillo

Nice port. Not much time there. Just walk off and explorer near this ship. Nice buildings and many shops.

Mazatlan

Just get off the ship and follow the blue line into Old Town area and explore. Many beautiful buildings, shops etc.
