Our first Carnival Cruise! We had an inside cabin (can't see spending extra for a balcony or window since I only use the room to shower & sleep!) on the second level. Quiet and calm, heard the engines a bit, but not much rocking. The room steward asked us how many times and when we wanted the room made up (once a day, in the morning and ICE everyday TY) and we never saw him except in passing in the hall! Loved the towel art! The ship is gorgeous, decorated with Impressionist paintings, sculptures and wall murals. Not too big, that you get exhausted looking for things, but big enough that there is plenty of variety. This ship has LOTS of elevators. We never waited for one for very long. Pools are SMALL. They get crowded and of course, lounge chairs are all TAKEN by 7:00am with no one in them! Karaoke every night (won the contest, got my first Ship on a stick) Won the music trivia contest (stick #2) The sing-a-long in the artist lobby with the acoustics was phenomenal! The food was great! I gained 10#! Charlie and the others in the DR where so unobtrusive and efficient and THEN they had to go DANCE and SING! Geeze! As entertaining as that was, I think they really don't need to do that. Seems a bit abusive! We hired our own tours once we docked in Aruba and Curacao. Aruba (tiny) is a shopping mall, hotels and a couple of WINDY beaches. Preferred beautiful Curacao. Our tour guide, Allsesanda, was so informative, friendly and helpful. I would love to go back and just stay on Curacao! The architecture, history and beauty made this an Island I want to see again. So far, Carnival is our favorite cruise line!
Had more closet space and shelving that I was expecting! Had a mini fridge and safe. Plenty of room in the bath as well. Wish I'd have know there was a hair dryer in the drawer!!
