We traveled from California to Florida a couple days early to visit my brother in law and his wife, then drove with them to Port Everglades. This was our first time doing a drive to port, and it was a breeze getting in and out.
Once at the pier, we got in the embarkation line for our Crown & Anchor category, and were through the process in short order. We bypassed the photographers and headed up to the upper level to board the ship.
Once on board, we had some time to wander around - cabins were not ready until 1 PM - and ended up in the Windjammer to sample the wide variety of foods available there. Plenty of choices; we were all able to find at least a plateful (or two) to our liking. When the doors to the cabin areas opened up, we entered the hallway and found our cabin quickly.
We really appreciated the layout of the cabin - twin closets (one on either side of the bed) so my wife and I could get dressed without stumbling over each other. Luggage stored under the bed out of the way, bathroom was well thought out as well. The curved shower door that opens outward, as opposed to others we've encountered that were a "split slider", worked very well. The balcony for this cabin was much deeper than many others, since we were in the middle of one of the ship "bump outs".
Plenty of space and chairs available, swim up (well, wade up) tiki bar was a neat find!
Booked our own tour (day pass to Hilton Rose Hall)
Booked our own tour (Trikes Cozumel) and loved it
