We upgraded to Haven last year on the Getaway for a Baltic Cruise. My wife and I traveled with our son, his wife, and her mother. Haven spoiled us, and we vowed to always travel that way in the future. The five of us did so, on the Epic on the 7-day Caribbean from Port Canaveral east of Orlando. Port Canaveral is a wonderfully easy port. Parking is across the street from the ship, so easy to carry baggage. Of course, Haven guests are moved quickly through the check-in process and taken to the Haven lounge and restaurant to await rooms being ready. We had two family suites, each with 2 bedrooms and baths. Rooms were great, only complaint was the couch in the suite which was too wide to be comfortable, and was slippery. It was obviously there to be used as another bed. Queen beds in the Haven are going to be short for anyone over 6' tall. Haven dining was outstanding, and enough variety that we could have eaten there every meal and had a different entree. The Epic is large, with a lot of "smaller" rooms. On our cruise, it was not full, so did not seem overly crowded. The Haven was never close to being crowded. Good speciality dining and entertainment made our time away from the Haven enjoyable. There were plenty of beaches and water sports at the stops - for additional cost.
