Travel to Europe, especially Germany was high on our "Bucket List". We researched several other "River Cruise" companies but chose Viking because of their itinerary, excursions and reputation. We were not disappointed because the beauty of each country and travelling along the Danube, Main and Rhine were fabulous. The sights along the Rhine with all the castles and vineyards were breath-taking. The staff was so friendly and personable and the food was absolutely decadent. We enjoyed great entertainment every evening with Nelly and Martin. The ship was beautifully designed and the cabins were very comfortable. We loved the French balcony as it provided a beautiful view with the floor to ceiling patio windows. The excursions were well organized and the guides were "locals" that were very knowledgeable and informative. My husband and I usually do not go to a destination that we have already done but, we both agree that we would repeat this trip again! The only thing we regret is that we ended in Amsterdam but did not extend our stay to spend time visiting this amazing city. We did not realize we would be leaving so early on our last day and we were not able to see Amsterdam at all. Overall, we must say it was one of the best vacations we ever did and the staff, accommodations, food (and drink!), places we visited through the shore excursions and beauty we saw was superb!
