We flew in to FLL the night before and stayed at a Airbnb about halfway between the airport and port. We had an Uber XL take 4 of us and a crazy amount of luggage from the airport and to the port the next day for $16 each trip. Well worth it.

We left for the port about 11 on departure day and did experience some unusually busy (in our experience) security checkpoints before we even got into the port. ID's were checked for each person in the car and noticed some cars were pulled over for what appeared to be random checks. Security lines inside the terminal were not too bad, had both left and right sides open and seemed to be moving along nicely. Check in was pretty easy also even not taking the Seapass photo beforehand. We were in the C&A line and first time cruising sister traveling with us was in the regular line, they got through the check in process faster. These goes the excitement of pretty much the only Gold benefit I had! "Priority" C&A check in! HA! If memory serves correctly we were on the ship and in awe of Deck 5 by noon.

We had a Superior Oceanview Balcony deck 11286. Great location, not too far from the stairs/elevators. I was concerned about noise from the bottom level of Wonderland being right across from us and had no issues at all. Bed was by the balcony and there was tons of storage, I am a horrible over packer. Bags all fit under the bed without a problem and they were in the hallway waiting for us right at 1pm. We had a Guarantee cabin and it was assigned not too long after booking, we booked in April of 2017. We also had the deluxe beverage plan and between the coffee, bottled water and drinks throughout the day I feel we made a wise choice in purchasing it while on sale, I believe it was $43 per person.
