This was our first experience on a smaller ship and was a bit apprehensive at first. I didn't think they took safety very seriously since the PA system was not working during the muster drill. We gathered in our station and were then dismissed without anyone going over the drill. The crew advised the PA system was having issues and the muster drill was not necessary! The entertainment (especially Tea for Two) was very good and our son enjoyed the Teen Club. Service at the restaurants with the exception of Aqua, Versailles and the buffet was below par. We have always had great service at all of the restaurants on Norwegian so we were a bit suprised. Barely being acknowledged, sloooooow service was common. Although the Spa area was smaller than I was used to it still did provide exceptional service.
The ports on the Mexican Riviera were very nice along with the shore excursions. Our room was relatively quiet with a nice sized balcony. We had booked our restaurant reservations ahead of time however wanted to change the time on one of them. Being third in line did not matter since everything was full. Waitlist you ask? Forget it, they didn't even bother to look at it or update me.
Many times the public restrooms were not kept up along with some individual stalls being out of service.
Clean and comfortable. The pull out sofa would be fine for a child but a bit uncomfortable for a teen or adult.
