Our first cruise, a present for my partners birthday. We thought we'd tick cruising off the bucket list and move on, Instead we're head over heels in love with the idea and planning lots more! From leaving Dublin airport and our arrival on embarkation, you have a sense of being more than a number. Our bags appeared and left as required and when your dropped at the port everything is simplified so boarding took no lenght. The ship is said to be one of the smaller ones, but belive me when I say you can walk the legs off yourself if the notion took you. Every where is Spotlessly clean, with staff constantly clearing, wiping, hoovering while being unobstrusive, this is true of public area's, dining area's and our cabin, they work round the clock while seamingly appearing from the wood work! The Windjammer "Cafe" has something for Everyone, the range and array of food would have your eyes on stalks, it's quiet easy to have eyes bigger than your belly when wanting to try everything, but portions are ideal and you can have as many as you want. Dining staff are on hand to carry and load your plate if you don't have a free hand (crutches, mobility aids ect) and will get your tea/coffee/lemonade/water when your seated if you need it. We were almost embarressed with the attention we received, your literally Spoilt while on board. Entertainment wasn't high on our list of "to do's" but we did enjoy the show's and music on board, our favourite bar being The Schooner, a beautiful bar laid out like a boat inside a boat! Every evening including the first you get an itineray listing all entertainment and activities on board the next day and a list of excursions in your port of call which is a great help if you haven't organised anything and decide on a spur of the moment. The pools are small, you won't do much swimming, unless your up early and in before the likes of me are only in for a dip and cool down! We spoke with couples who had young families with them and they had high praise for the kiddie clubs so that may be of interest to some. The age range on board was extensive, from late teens right through to late 90's!! and everyone seems to enjoy themselves, and from what we seen, there really is something for everyone. We were cruise virgins on embarkation and by disembarkation on our last day we were and still are completely converted to Cruise Travel

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

As a first time cruiser we had nothing to compare it against, so I was wary that I'd feel claustrophobic. I had nothing to worry about,it was sufficent as we weren't expecting a hugh room. Plenty of storage for all our stuff and we could get around without colliding with each other. Bed was super comfy and we loved our towel animals every night.
