Arrived in San Juan the night before the cruise. We stayed at the Radisson Ambassador in Condado. We took a walk in the morning. Nice Hotel, decent breakfast. We would stay there again.

First The BEST

We arrived at the pier around Noon. We were too early for the boarding process. Boarding started after 1230 and we were on the ship before 1. Cabins were not ready until shortly after 1. We were greeted by crew members with champagne and welcomed aboard (and no photographers hounding us as they do on other cruise lines) We ate lunch at the buffet and went to our cabin and dropped off our carry ons. We explored the ship and took pictures before returning to our cabin. Our luggage was there. We quickly unpacked and continued our exploration. We met our Cabin Steward Sandy. He was wonderful. DH paid for decorations for our cabin for my birthday. Sandy did a great job decorating the room. The concern and assistance from Sandy and his assistant Gustave I received when I got sick (see The Worst below) was appreciated. Also, thanks Sandy for the birthday rose.

Cabin Review

Cabin CC

Cabin 8056 - Typical CC room. Located on deck 8 between forward and mid-ship elevators. Quiet hallway, easy access to elevators. Cabins above and below so no deck noises.
