Royal Caribbean cruises provide one of the best values and service. We are Diamond members having cruised for over two decades. We have tried other cruise lines, but always gravitate back to RCCL. Despite liking RCCL, there are some small issues which I believe they can improve: 1. Virtual balcony (see my review, below). 2. The new two-tier pricing for booking a new cruise onboard. In the past, if you booked on the ship, you were allowed to transfer your deposit to a different cruise or date without penalty. RCCL is now offering a lower rate if you commit without any cancellation OR you have to pay more to have the flexibility of changes to your reservation. We were considering a Trans-Atlantic cruise with two back-to-back cruises, but received no additional special rates or considerations for the size of the reservation. 3. RCCL always has excellent entertainment, but it seems they are raising their entertainment level on the newer ships, but not their older ships. The ice show is exceptional, though. 4. Unlimited Internet is great, but the guest relations could have been a little more courteous when asking a question to change from one device to another. 5. Crown & Anchor has always been wonderful. As a Diamond member we are always invited to exclusive Top Tier events, except this cruise. We happened to walk up to the Cosmopolitan Lounge to find out they were having an event, but we never received our invitation. We talked to the C&A representative the next day. She said she would make sure our invites were sent. A few hours later, we happened by to see the same representative at the front of the event. Why couldn't she just tell us about it when we spoke to her earlier that day? Overall, the cruise was excellent with the expection of the items I have listed. The ship was clean, well-maintained, and had excellent food. I would highly recommend this cruise!

Cabin Review

Cabin 1587
The Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony is basically the same size as the regular interior stateroom except it has a large screen on one of the walls showing outside of the ship. RCCL replaces the sofa and glass table for a small arm chair and ottoman to accommodate the screen. The virtual balcony is ok, but I would not get it in the future for the extra cost. It has audio and visual components. When we turned up the audio, it sounded like we had a hurricane in our room when we were sailing despite having calm seas. The audio is not realistic sound.
