This was our fourth cruise and all with Princess. In a sense we are newbies I suppose, but we have been pleased with Princess and see no reason to go elsewhere.
Stayed at the SpringHill Suites. Stay was fine but the shuttle to cruise port was terrible. In the past they offered free shuttle and arrived within 20min by a van shuttle. This time we were charged $10/pp and in a larger bus it took 1 1/2hrs...unacceptable and most likely will not book there again.
Love the Regal Princess. Embarkation was flawless and fast. My wife’s sister and her husband are platinum and were able to board a bit earlier. They were able to book the Sanctuary.
BALCONY L103- after research and responses from CC Members, we did book L103. It is obstructed only in that there is no glass panel in front but steel. However, the balcony is huge and I could stretch out on it. It faces forward so standing at the rail the views are great. First time in a balcony and not a mini-suite and it worked fine for us. The bath/shower is smaller but we really had no problems. We did buy a plastic over the door organizer which really worked great and would recommend doing so. The only thing I could see needing updating is the carpet in the room as it is showing some wear but that to me is minor. Room stewardess was great! Kept room spotless and is somewhat stealth so we’d see her in corridors but never was intruded in room. Of note...we could use the balcony and had access to it while at sea. Also, the balcony never really felt any windier than the side balconies we had in the past. If it was we’d just move back a bit. We would book it again.
