Chose the Epic specifically for the studios & the lounge, which is a brilliant concept -- Norwegian really does a great job marketing them to solo cruisers. I really liked the studio cabin, which was as tiny as I expected (to be honest) but laid out with a pleasing efficiency. There was plenty of storage space, the bed was comfortable, and lights/air conditioning/facilities were all in perfect working order. I loved the Studio Lounge, a comfortable space to hang out & have a cup of cappuccino and a cookie during a little downtime.
The Epic herself wasn't my favorite ship, however, because she is just so huge, and so very closed in. When you have an inside or studio cabin, it's nice to have some places to sit and watch the sea, and those are few & far between here, unless you want to be on the noisy pool deck. I found myself wishing for a cozy window seat or a quiet reading nook.
There is plenty to do, though, so you won't be bored. In fact, there were so many shows and activities that I found myself bailing on a few of them because I was just so over-scheduled. Don't miss the Cirque Epicurean dinner show -- that was my favorite for the whole week.
Pros: The studios are laid out very well, and make efficient use of the small space.
Cons: This particular cabin is next to a very busy crew area that seemed to take it as their mission to roll, bump, and bang things around at all hours of the day. It quieted down at night, but forget about a nap in the afternoon.
