We do this every year in January, usually on Holland America. I could not believe that we spent 10 sea days and only visited 4 Hawaiian ports! Princess hurried our Hawaiian timeso that we could spend !ALL DAY! in Ensenada. (How many passengers booked this cruise because of its full day in Ensenada?) Our dinner table assignment was a table for 8 with only 4 people sitting there. No effort was made by dining room personnel to either get us a smaller table or assign more people to our table. Princess staterooms are always inadequate. They did improve the beds. Our room steward was excellent, as were our waiters. The entertainment was very good, but the theater seating is inadequate for the number of passengers. Princess ships lack an observation lounge on the front of the ship except for their small ship Pacific Princess. We will not take another Hawaii cruise with Princess unless it's on Pacific Princess and unless we have 5 full days in Hawaii.
Princess showers are a universal joke. One improvement I would suggest is a shower head with a hose.
