I had done a Viking river cruise & was very happy. I thought I'd try their ocean ship since it had a smaller capacity than other lines. We could not have been more pleased. The food was excellent and extensive. We actually favored the huge buffet over the specialty restaurants. The also had extensive 24 hour room service. We had coffee and juice at wake-up time each morning.

The ship was well staffed and the staff very friendly. I expected a lot and got it. What did exceed my expectations was the entertainment. The stage shows were Broadway quality and there was lots of entertainment in the atrium almost all evening. We've already booked an Ocean European cruise for fall 2019.

We never felt rushed & never had waits at the elevators. Both pools were great & the large one had a movable cover. The excursions were mixed but the islands were recovering from the storms. I'd probably gone on my own more. We did on two islands. They did have free excursions at every stop.
