We love the Radiance and cruised on her in 2015 and then Nov/Dec 2018. In 2015 we thought the food was ordinary to say the least but our latest cruise (2018) the food was excellent and so was the service. She is a lovely light and airy ship. We loved her glass floor to ceiling windows in the Windjammer and her lovely open air dining area at the back of the Windjammer. We also loved sitting in the Colony Club and looking out the back of the ship but the problem was the lovely leather seats had lost their support and you kept sliding off the seat! (Not good "duty of care" for cruises with bad backs) The other problem was that the awful Art Auctions had taken over the Colony Club for their paintings and so seating became limited. Not impressed to say the least.

The difference in on-sell between the two cruises was probably the thing that hit us in the face the most. 2015 it was just sailing day and a little the day after and from time to time from the excursion officer. But 2018 it was on the whole time and they had a table set up, for the whole cruise, in the buffet trying to sell drinks and restaurant packages. They had a captive market as it was just where the crew stood to give you the handwash before you entered the Windjammer.

Our cabin was clean and well maintained the only exception were the pillows.. lumpy and laundered a few too many times... and the hard bed. We wondered if they were new beds as we found our mattress touched our suitcase on (2018) cruise where there was good clearance the previous cruise.
