Traveling with my husband and 8 year old son. My husband and I have been on 3 previous cruises, 2 on Carnival and 1 on Royal Caribbean. This was my son's first cruise. We are pretty "go with the flow" types on vacation and not much bothers us to a point where we can't figure out a way to have a good time. Overall this cruise far exceeded our expectation!

We flew into Houston Hobby on Saturday and took an Uber to Galveston. We stayed at Inn on the Waterpark. Decent hotel, no frills, cost effective, and they had a shuttle to the ship the following morning.

Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at the port around noon and were onboard around 12:30. The ship was very clean and the staff was wonderful! We had a balcony room on Level 8 port side and it was very comfortable, even with the 3 of us. My son loved the pullman bed above our bed! We had the room steward leave it down the entire trip because he enjoyed being up there when we would go to our room during the day! Usually the steward would put it back up during the day.
