We may not have chosen to travel with Viking again as we had such a disappointing experience on our Tulips and Windmills cruise on the Magni riverboat in Holland, March 2017. We had been on two other riverboat cruises with Viking and had good trips, but last years cruise was a mess. At that point we decided, “NO MORE Viking travel for us”. After a number of phone calls from their customer service group concerning our complaints, with a number of offers for a voucher towards another riverboat cruise, we finally decided to take a chance, accept a voucher and try out one of their new ships. We have just returned from our cruise on Viking Sky traveling from Miami through Mexico’s , Turquoise Caribbean Seas. What a pleasant surprise! The ship is lovely. It had everything and more to ensure you a wonderful voyage. Everything shined and was so spacious making it very easy to move about. It was hard to believe there were close to 900 passengers on board.
Our veranda stateroom a DV2 #5038, was very comfortable and kept so clean and always stocked with our favorite sodas and a few candy snacks. Also enjoyed our nespreso coffee maker early mornings and evenings. Our cabin steward kept up with all our needs and requests. The staff throughout the ship impressed us.
Now for the food, Oh my how delicious it was and plentiful as well. We enjoyed all the many choices of places to eat and found them equally impressive. Won’t go on any further, but we highly suggest you give it a try. We would love to go on another of these ships again. Cheers, “Grants”
Written above in my review. Cabin was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice as well. Loved having a balcony. Very small amount of storage or drawers.
