We chose this cruise as we like to sail out of Sydney & we previously had a fabulous cruise on the Ovation in 2016 on it's maiden voyage to Tianjin in China.

Unfortunately it appears that Royal Caribbean must be trying to save money as ALL the "unique' restaurants eg Silk, American Icon, Chic, Grande, which are all complimentary, didn't have their 'unique' menus were exactly the same no matter where we dined. In other words when we ate in Silk which is advertised as specialising in Asian style cooking but it had the same bland menu as all the other complimentary restaurants.

Also we were very disappointed about the service including one lunch having to wait over 15 mins just to get a glass of water, the restaurant was half full however after ordering a glass of wine it took nearly 45 mins. In the end we left after getting our wine but we would have left earlier but the waiter had our Seapasses.

Port Reviews

Hobart

We took the Hop on Hop off bus to view the local area. Reasonable value for the activity.

Adelaide

40 minute train ride from the port to Adelaide city but was ok. Not much to do in the actual city so you need to arrange a day trip to visit the city outskirts. Local tours are much cheaper that what's offered on board.
