I love the Star Princess, this is the 4th cruise we have made on her (R/T Tahiti and 3 R/T Hawaii). Really like the Skywalkers Nightclub with the great view from up there.

We did anytime dining this trip and had no trouble getting into the restaurants for our meals and also ate in the Horizon Court several nights. The food everywhere was prepared very well and the new menu items in the restaurant were delicious! We ate one meal in the Crown Grill to celebrate my birthday and our friend's Anniversary. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We also did one of the Pub Lunches and loved the Bread Pudding.

For anyone wondering about what to do on sea-days, there is something for everyone. We had terrific Ukulele lessons with Tiki Dave (free and the ship supplied the ukuleles), there was free Hula Dance class with Leialoha and many other dance classes too. Trivia games throughout the day and evening plus other games and events. The naturalists and destination lectures were all very informative. The entertainment went on day and night and it was all good.

Cabin IF

We have done this cruise a number of times, so don't feel the need for a balcony. We love Plaza Deck because you are close to everything. The cabin was great with the improvements of the new very luxurious bedding right down to the connector plugs for phone and computer charging built right into the bedside lamps.

Port Reviews

Honolulu

Walked Iolani Palace for the tour and took Uber to a restaurant further away. The port was clean and easy to get around in.

Hilo

Walked a block from the ship and got a Lyft up to the Imiloa Planetarium on the University campus. They have a great museum and we were able to see 3 different star shows while we were there.

Maui

Taking the Tender was fast and easy since we did not try to be the first off the ship. We walked the historic walking tour from the map that we got Court & Custom House. Loved the Shaved Ice in the Lahina Market Place and had a Mai Tai at the historic Pioneer Inn.

Ensenada

The town is really clean but can get quite crowded when the ship is in. We always take the shuttle into town and walk the few blocks to Houssong's Cantina. This is the oldest bar in Ensenada and still owned by the same family. They have the distinction of inventing the Margarita there and it is still the best!
