We are 5 Stare on HAL and typically cruise to warm weather climates for about a month + in Jan and Feb. This was our first time on the Koningsdam. Overall it was a very positive experience and in fact we are booked for 42 days on her in Jan/Feb 2019. The entertainment was much better than other HAL ships, food was excellent and the crew was the typical outstanding HAL crew. We had an outside cabin on the main deck. Everything was fine with the cabin with lots of storage and really like the new interactive TV system.

The main dining room was noisy but the food was excellent and service was good but varied depending on the waiter and time we went to eat. We ate in the Tamrind and the Pinnacle and found the food excellent and the service also excellent. We will be visiting them both again in 2019.

The America's Test Kitchen program needs some modifications. It was too crowded and as a 5 star we were supposed to get a free hands on cooking class but that did not happen.

Lots of storage and plenty of space. The interactive TV system was nice.
