This was my fourth, and my wife's third, cruise on Norwegian. This was also the newest ship we have sailed on, so expectations were high. For the most part, these expectations were met by a friendly and attentive crew, beautiful ship and facilities, and a wide range of activities during sea days (we had an extra sea day due to the closure of the port in Grand Cayman).
Overall, embarkation was not completely smooth. It was apparent that hundreds of passengers showed up very early and presumably before the time allotted on their boarding documents. I usually don't pay attention to this, but in this case, my wife and I were interested in getting access to Vibe. By the time we boarded just before 1 PM, Vibe was long since sold out for the entirety of the cruise. Another note on embarkation: NCL's computer system crashed during boarding, making the boarding lounge overly crowded.
Notwithstanding the above, once we did board, things went very smoothly, culminating in a great lunch at Margaritaville. A word about a beer called "bad ass"; it is just a Landshark beer but spiked with rum. Sounds nasty, but once I tried it I was hooked.
