Hawaii cruise We have sailed many times before and so wanted to go to Hawaii We now live in Costa Blanca Spain and travelled Via Las Vegas for the new year so there were many filghts and days involved to reach our enbarcation point at San Pedros' Pier Los Angeles.

We are now Platinum level with Princess cruises with the appropriate badges but we failed to recieve correct instructions to board the ship and had to trail around making further inquiries in order to get aboard quickly. Once aboard we found our stateroom and soon after one of our cases and one other with our name on but was not ours we informed the cabin attendant who removed the wrongly place case and thought that our case would soon arrive after several hours waiting for it I had to go to the reception deck to inquire about it. My suitcase,properly named and tagged was in a large pile of other suitcases going nowhere it would seem that you would have to go,as i did, to collect your own. Aged 77, and having travelled halfway around the world, the last thing you want to do is drag your suitcase around a very large ship whilst all the time thinking is this what you get in the Platinum grade Do it yourself ! On arriving in our stateroom we were surprised not to find a Princess Patter which tell you what's on and where to go, when I inquired I was told it was on an app no mention of this in the cabin or elsewhere, also there was not a small diagram of the ship deck layout and which had been handed out on prevoius Princess ships so again I had to go and ask. Princess do not now give receipts for drinks purchases and therefore no signing occurs I was waiting for my final bill statement to arrive on our last night in order to check it, this did not happen, no statement given, out so you do not know what you are being charged for. On my arrival back home I have made inquiries about my bill and as yet have not received an answer. Please be aware of this fact on your last night and print your bill as nobody will tell you and you will get no response to your enquiries. We enjoyed the ship, entertainment, and the cruise but booked shore excursions with other agents as we now find they are better value for money. This was the first time that we have had such a troublesome boarding and no final account on any previous cruise ship. We have sailed on the Regal Princess and everything was just wonderful so we will be using Princess cruises again and hoping for better things.
