My friends cruised in January of 2017 and they told me that they were going to book a cruise while on board. I told them that I was in and to not spend more than such and such on the cruise. They booked for all 3 of us while they were on there. Fast forward to the cruise in 2018 and we had 5 other friends join us. Embarkation and disembarkation went so smoothly and that really enhanced our cruise experience. This was the third cruise that I have taken with Royal Caribbean, two Caribbean and one European. I highly recommend RC to anyone and everyone. I am a Crown and Anchor member and I enjoy the benefits that I am provided through this. We chose My Time Dining for this cruise and it seemed to work best for our party of 8. On each beautiful island, we got off of the ship and enjoyed what they had to offer. Only one set in our group took an excursion through RC and that was on the island of St. Kitts - catamaran and railway - and when they returned to the ship, they raved about that trip. I love cruising because I know where I am eating and sleeping each night and how I am getting from one port to the next. I will cruise until God doesn't allow me to cruise anymore. We booked a cruise for 2020 while we were on this cruise. I love everything about RC and what they offer. We did My Time Dining because part of our group liked to eat at 8 and the other part liked to eat early. We usually went down around 6:45 or so and were seated within 15 minutes. My Time Dining works well for smaller groups, especially if you get off of the ship every day for excursions. It does not allow you to get to know your dining staff as well, but it works if you want to be flexible. Our cabin steward, Tatiane, was great to us. I would leave her a note if I didn't see her and she would do whatever we asked. She even fixed two things that we didn't ask her to fix (squeaky bathroom door and the closet door was a little off kilter). Every cruise that I have been on, I have fallen in love with so many crew members. They work hard and it's amazing how many of them learn your name in no time at all. I have never not been taken care of by any of the crew members that I have come into contact with. I like to tip them ON TOP of the drink service charges and the daily tips that we pay. They deserve the extra. I'm not sure that I could work that hard and be so pleasant. This cruise, I just went and watched the comedians and they did not disappoint. We even had our picture taken with 3 of them when we got off of the ship in Puerto Rico on our last day. They were in a Cigar shop that we went into. They were sweet as pie. Our next cruise is on the Freedom of the Seas and I can't wait to experience a bigger ship.
