Sail Date: Jan 2018
Cabin: Suite

The ship arrived late due to weather conditions this resulted in a change in itinerary however this was done to benefit MSC and not its passengers as the one destination that the majority wanted to see being Pemene was cut out and we merely parked off Portuguese Island for two days.

The cabin was poorly prepared and had two broken door hinges, exposed wiring on a fluorescent tube in the bathroom because of it having no cover and no hand soap in the dispenser. Even though I complained to reception about this on three occasions they were only attended to on the last night of the cruise. The exposed wiring was never attended to.

The Buffet dining area could not cope at peak times with the numbers and on most days no seating was available and when came available a large percentage of the food choice had been finished.

Cabin S3

The cabin was poorly prepared as it had a broken hinge on both the clothes cupboard and the bar fridge cupboard. There was also no hand soap in the hand basin soap dispenser and the cover for the fluorescent tube in the bathroom was missing leaving exposed wiring.

I complained to reception about this but the latter was never attended to and the balance was only done on the last night of the cruise

Port Reviews

Portuguese Island

There was insufficient seating and the braai was burnt. Also due to the numbers we ate at after 13h30 which by then a lot of the choice was finished
