What a step back in time and service. While the boarding delay might be written off to a late arrival from the prior cruise, all else was avoidable.
It started with walking down the deck to our cabin. the fading carpet almost emitted a light show where the service cart had been placed thousands of times before. The entering the cabin determined that there was no refrigerator. When asked the steward said that all rooms do not come with refrigerators, When informed that he could not have been more incorrect, he said that he tried to tell his boss that some rooms do not have refrigerators but was told that there was nothing that could be done. Emphasized to this noodnick that either a refrigerator appeared or we wanted another room. Miraculously a refrigerator appeared. Then because this cabin was designed during the Reagan administration, there was no way a sleeping device could be set up with the user actually being in bed. After further conversation, an extension cord, designed for heavy duty exterior use was made available.
Some cruises have staffs that almost become annoying trying to be of service. Not a problem aboard this ship. Friendliest staff day was departure morning.
People use more electronic devices that when this cabin was designed during the 1970s fuel crisis. Replace, at least, some of the items.
