Hadn't been to most of the islands before. Felt it would be a great way to see new places. Getting on the ship was a breeze. Took less than 15 minutes. Our room was on the 3rd deck of the ship, but close to the elevators, which I found convenient, as getting off the ship for the shore excursions was on deck 2 and dining rooms on 5. The cabin was a good size with more storage than I expected. The food in the main dining room was good, but I must say, that the food in all dining rooms was a little salty. We also ate at all three specialty restaurants. Service was excellent, food very good and enjoyed the individualized attention from the waitstaff. Best dish was the truffled lobster sushi roll at Izumi-hands down. As for the ports: We flew into Puerto Rico on our own, the day before. Although we had paid for our reservation at the AC Marriot, when we arrived, they told us they were overbooked and didn't have a room for us. After 2 hours at the check in desk and many phone calls, they found us a room at the Sheraton Convention center which was closer to the port. We walked around Old San Juan. Puerto Rico is still in bad shape, street lights were not working, making driving dangerous for the taxis. St. Thomas is also, still a mess, trees down, roofs off buildings, etc. We took the ferry to St. John and that was still devastated, too. Many stores out of business, many homeless people. One shopkeeper said she only got her landline back last week. Quite sad. Did our own thing on Antiqua-took a taxi to a beach, great day. Was supposed to do a snorkeling catamaran trip the following day, from St. Kitts to Nevis, but we were cancelled as the catamaran wasn't working??? Found a great taxi driver who took us to a beach. Did the Spanish Galleon boat on St. Lucia to the mud bath. Could have passed on that for sure. Enjoyed a nice lunch at a plantation and ride back to the Jewel. Snorkeling trip on Barbados to see sea turtles, lunch and open bar on the boat, some beach time and a very entertaining captain. Day 7 at sea, the weather couldn't have been better. Only day we ate at the lunch buffet and it was amazing. Service overall was great. I would definitely go back.

Twin beds that were very comfortable. Small couch and table, lots of storage and plenty of hangars. Quiet room. Very nice.
