Huge improvement from 2 years ago, but some items still need attention.

We sailed on this ship 2 years ago on almost the same itinerary. We picked it because of Half Moon Cay and it lined up with our flights. We were very pleasantly surprised with the new improvements. The cabins had been updated, the ship was newly remodeled to a less tacky decor color scheme and the new food venues were fantastic.

One recent review stated the vents in the cabin doors let in noise. I couldn't agree more. I had to sleep with earplugs and that still didn't drown out all the sounds from drunk people yelling in the halls at all hours of the night and the dreadful steel drum music that played from 6 pm until 10 pm. I got headaches from all the noise and it was hard to relax and go into your cabin to just sleep when you needed it. The vents do help with smells in the cabin, but bad from noise control.

Guy's Burger joint is so yummy and fun. The Blue Iguana gives made to order burritos, tacos for breakfast and lunch options. The buffet has gone downhill however. This is especially true for Dinner. The food one night was just awful. It was a weird combo of dishes: veal parmesan, pasta with peas, rice, top round, succotash...I pretty much went hungry that night and we checked the dining menu that was the same. The bad thing is that Guy's closes at 6pm and Blue Iguana closes even earlier. The buffet needs serious improvements! I really missed the chicken tenders that used to be served at lunch too. Breakfast is pretty good in the Lido restauant, but they need to put fruit in the express area. You can wait over a half hour in line just to get fruit.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4G

Nice interior updates but....the Bed mattress was hard and so were pillows. The closet space is nice. The location of the room is awful. Too much noise from the stateroom attendant closet right adgacent and the lobby below is right next to the room so all the noise from elevators, hall and entertainment below makes it impossible for sleep or silence (especially with the new vents in doors). Avoid this room at all costs!!!!

Half Moon Cay

Beautiful place...no excursion is necessary. I wish they'd stay longer though.
