  3. Norwegian Epic
We're regular NCL cruisers & thought we'd try the Epic. Even though it's not that much bigger than Getaway, it sure seemed far more crowded and very noisy everywhere. Some music venues seemed like an afterthought with little space. Food & service about average as other NCLs; main dining & buffet were OK, specialty restaurants pretty good. Room layout (and room lighting!) pretty funky & not at all user friendly. Lighting was mostly a few little spot lights in the ceiling. I was surprised that the tendering to the islands went far faster than expected; they did have that worked out. Overall service was fine as was getting on and off the ship. Strange that there is no real walking deck like most every other ship has. Bartenders worked their hardest to keep up with demand but often had to wait a while to get served. Drinks were fine. We'll go back to the 'standard' sized ships.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony
Cabin B1 10324
Way goofy layout of toilet & shower & even worse for sink. Lighting horrible; surprised most women didn't look like zombies after trying to put on make-up in the dark. Even hard to shave. The room shape let them squeeze a bunch more rooms in, but the loss of even 10 or 20 sq ft is bad; no coffee table by the couch anymore.
