We choose this cruise because we sailed the ship once before and liked the layout and activities on the ship. If it wasn't for the group of people we were with; we may have found it very disappointing. One night in the dining room 3 tables sat after we did (Taste Dining Room), but they were all served before us. Also, one night the bathrooms were so filthy with toilet paper all over and just plain disgusting. I really expected better from NCL and did make a comment to a staff member. The food at LaCucina, Cagneys, & Teppanyaki, was amazing and service was great. Our rooms steward was friendly and took great care of us in our room. We were in 9730 and Erwin was amazing. There were many children and large families on this cruise and this may have contributed to some of the dirty bathrooms for there were many children running around unattended.
Our son, who we had not seen in over a year (he was working in Afghanistan), was with us. We have not vacationed with him in over 10 years. He also had lost his home and belongings from the hurricane in Houston last year. It was fantastic to have him on our vacation with us. He said he had a wonderful time. We loved spending time with him.
Oh, and did I mention we got to see the Eagles Win in the H2O the first night - great game with some great fans! GO EAGLES!!
Our cabin had 2 lounge chairs, a table and 2 regular chairs. It was very nice, but not any room to walk due to all the furniture. The closet had shelves on most of the one side and there were a few cabinets with shelves but they were small. The bathroom had many shelves and a cabinet for belongings. Our cabin stewart Erwin was amazing and kept the cabin clean, and was always around with a big smile. The beds were even comfy, which I don't find on most cruises. Overall the cabin was quiet and I really enjoyed the cabin.
Son and husband did the zipline and really enjoyed it. It rained a few times, but it was a beautiful pool. The beach had crushed shells mixed with sand, so was not too pleasant to walk on. The water was not real clear but might be due to the ship pulling into it. There was a jellyfish warning while we were there, but I didn't see any.
We took a taxi to Nachi Cocom and really enjoyed our day at the beach. Very nice place to visit during our stay.
Went to Paradise Beach Club and had a fantastic time at the beach. Would defininitely book this again!
Went through Native Choice doing the Mayan Experience Tour. It was nice, the tour guide was great and we went to a Mayan Village to eat some food. That part I probably could have skipped, but enjoyed seeing the ruins. It was an hour ride to the ruins and an hour back.
