This was a family cruise of 12 people. My mother and aunt, and 5 siblings and their spouses. Ages ranged from 90 - 38. This was a first cruise for half of us.

We cruised out of New Orleans. Six of us arrived on the Friday before the cruise and the other six arrived the Saturday prior to the cruise. We all stayed at the Springfield Marriott and the location was nice and the rooms were nice and clean. It was easy walking distance to the French Quarter and on the day of the cruise, we had one vehicle which we used to drop off the luggage and the rest of the group walked to the terminal.

Embarkation was smooth, the buffet was a madhouse with everyone there eating and waiting to get into their rooms, but that is expected. We all had balcony rooms on the 7th and 8th decks. They were fine, a bit older looking, but they were clean and we had plenty of space for our things.
