Wanted a longer cruise and one with some new ports for us. Only our second princess cruise. We had a great time on Ruby awhile back, but even with a egg shell the beds were rock hard and I didn’t sleep well and had sore back and neck, so we avoided princess until new bedding was in place. It was great, comfortable and long. Princess compares favorably with the other lines we travel and has interesting itineraries, We have close to 30 cruises, but chose based on itinerary and time. Ruby is an older ship and compares favorably with the NCL Star, which we sailed on a 19 night New Zealand to Singapore trip last year. I do think the Princess has a lot of motion when hitting even moderate seas. Cabin was fine, Ate mostly buffet and took meals outside in the aft section. Great spot and we had super weather. The three comedians were fabulous, rest of shows nothing special, but we did enjoy house band Pinacle. As everyone has stated theater is way too small. Saw most shows in explorers lounge which had a live feed.treated great by everyone, especially Jonathan the bartender at the outrigger bar and Hirren the bar server in explorer lounge, Ray and Ryan were great waiters/servers in the rear of the ship. Crown Grille was a great meal. Two other meals in main dining room were okay. Buffet gets a bad rap, if you are not picky there is a lot to choose from. Some days we ate vegan and were happy with all the options.....our one complaint was the shore excursion staff. We took a beach break in Trinidad that should have been canceled due to rain. More importantly, it was the first time ever we were fearful of our safety. There was a rock slide on one side of road and we nearly had a head on collision avoiding it. Another section on road was blocked on one side with a jersey barrier due to water rushing down the hill causing another near miss. Anyone over six feet had to sit sideways in the van and therefore could not use the seat belt. One bus broke down, our driver was constantly on cell phone on winding treacherous turns. The shore evpxcursion did not vet this compNy and the roads and fought back when people wanted refunds...bad call and bad look...other than this nightmare no complaints

Cabin BA

Fine for age, we did not experience the toilet problems many people did, or AC issues that were also an issue,,Princess knowingly sells cabins with chronic, ongoing major plumbing issues and expects people to use public areas....many passengers experiencing problems were on Dolphin deck
