This was our 11th cruise with Princess. We have been also on three other lines but we obviously enjoy the value you get with Princess. Embarkation was a breeze as usual and our luggage arrived by 1:00pm, which I think is a record. The sailaway was inside due to some rain, which was a first, and so that was not quite as fun as on the decks but so what, we were starting a great vacation. Our cabin was a partially obstructed outside, which had only a little boat blocking maybe half the view, still plenty of view not obstructed. Our cabin steward was impeccable and hardly ever seen, which is good! Bed was comfortable, but my wife's side was sloping a little to the outside so we mentioned that and the second night he had fixed it mysteriously. Fridge space was good once we took out the four cans of soda and the water. This was the quietest cabin I had ever experienced. Not once did we ever hear any other noise...no people, no toilet flush, no hall noise, nothing. The ship was full yet it was oh so quiet. Food: The dining room food (2nd seating) was one of the best on any of the cruises we have been on...lots of new dishes. We asked for escargot on the second formal night (an off the menu order) and it was great. Only complaint on food was that the caesar salad I had had limpy lettuce and the strip steak on the last night (why no prime rib on that night anymore?) was a little overcooked, but those are my only complaints. Wait staff were attentive and enjoyable as usual. Maitre D was a riot and treated us like royalty. We did the buffet for breakfasts and lunches....many selections and lots of seafood (yummy shrimp, mussels, calamari, etc) I was impressed that at each breakfast they had a large tray of delicious smoked salmon, so I ate lots of that. On other ships you have to beg for it. We never do alternative restaurants so cannot comment on that. Activities: we try to go to all the trivia type games. SO popular were these, that there were about 10-15 teams each game, and some very high scores....my team was fortunate to win on the last day....the prizes were caps, passport wallets, and bags....lots better than the past when they just gave out luggage tags and fridge magnets. We didnt do bingo but our trivia mates won $300 one day. Entertainment: we didnt go to any production shows (wife doesnt care for them). Saw the comedian/magician whom we thought was a riot, though he was a tad R-rated. He made many gay/lesbian jokes, so that may be offensive to some, but it is typical that the comedians these days make fun of different types, races and religions of people so as long as they are not mean about it I think it is ok. The other comedian Carlos Oscar, we had seen on another cruise and he is great storyteller, more family friendly show, but still funny. We went to Skywalkers a couple of nights and had fun, though the older I get the more undanceable the music seems to get. The ports were fun. We had pretty good weather. We always arrange our own excursions on the internet. We did Stingray Sailings catamaran in Grand Cayman and that was fantastic. Only 5 of us on the catamaran with a crew of 2 Americans (I think). Had dozens of stingrays all over us. In Roatan we had a driver and guide drive us two all over the island (thru Rony's tours) and visited the iguana farm and the monkey stop...both were great stops, then to the west end ziplining, which was very safe and professional and loads of fun. they are the only ziplining company on Roatan that uses an extra safety strap (in case of an accident). Our guide says they have never had an accident. In Cozumel we just shopped in the tourist stores at the port, since we used the pier about three miles for the main city. Had a huge $17 mango margarita with two straws at The Three Amigos...it was very good. Day at Princess Cays was very windy so not many people got off the boat, as the tendering was quite choppy. Also, we are not beach lovers so we stayed on board and relaxed, saw a movie in the theater, trivia games, etc. Last night of sea was lots of wind and lightening, very exciting, but the ship did not rock too bad...my wife loves the rocking anyway, sleeps like a baby. Embarkation was quick and easy. Border patrol folks were very happy looking (usually they are dead serious)Even the drug sniffing dog was smiling. All and all a 5 star cruise and I highly recommend the boat the crew and the itinerary to anyone.

Cabin Review

E330 partially obstructed. Not much obstruction with this one, one third of view not obstructed at all, and only half obstructed on other two thirds
