My husband and I had done this similiar itinerary over 15 years ago and had fond memories. We throughouly enjoyed it again. This is our 8th cruise together. We have cruised with other brands, but really prefer Celebrity. The service is outstanding, the shows are entertaining, and the food is better than most other cruiselines. The ship is definitely showing it's age, if you are used to a newer ships, this one will probably be disappointing. It had everything we needed and we were able to see beyond the age of the ship. The embarkation was fast and easy. We checked in around noon. The food options aren't that great when you check in early, but we enjoyed relaxing and people watching. The cabin had everything we needed. Yes, the shower had the old fashion curtain, but it seems to be roomier than the new fancy cubicles you find in the newer ships. We had the anytime dining. We were always seated promptly at our reserved time. The evening dinner service was fantastic. The menu always had a great selection to choose from. I really enjoyed the spa cafe for lunch. They had healthy alternatives for lunch, like salads, snacks, and great chicken salad. I do wish they had more selections to choose from. After dinner, we always went to the first evening show. Every night, was a different show, every night was great and entertaining. The weather was perfect. It was always mid-eighties. The islands were beautiful. We only did 2 excursions, Barbados and Grenada. I loved both excursions so much that I will review later. The final day, we also did the old San Juan city tour with airport transfers. That was a great and fast way to get off the boat and not worry about your luggage. This was an awesome trip. I can't wait to do this again!
