We love Barcelona and wanted to follow the Mediterranean coast around Italy to Venice. This trip was the only one in our time frame that included the Amalfi Coast, Corfu and the Adriatic ports (Dubrovnik and Split). The new ship was fantastic. Could not have asked for better weather on every leg of our trip. Did not miss having a casino onboard; too many other things to do. Smoke free environment is pleasant. Even with almost 900 aboard, we never felt crowded or rushed. Shore excursions were well planned and properly paced. Crew and staff were always pleasant and ready to assist. Cabins / suites are well appointed and spacious. Front Desk helped when our follow-on stay in Venice (not booked thru Viking) got off to a rocky start. We had three previous Viking River cruises; this was our first with Viking Ocean. We were so impressed we booked a Pacific adventure for 2019.

Cabin Review

Cabin suite

Spacious and comfortable. Cabin attendants were unobtrusive and were thorough. Best in class!

Port Reviews

Toulon

Included Marseilles and Nice. Also Aix-en-Provence. First 2 stops were great; Aix-en-Provence was a little much "alone or on-our-own" time.
