Spacious and comfortable.  Cabin attendants were unobtrusive and were thorough.  Best in class!

Two fun events. Our visit coincided with the Barcelona Marathon so Sunday morning we were surrounded by 10,000 + of our closest friends.

Good overview of the city; people are very proud of their Olympic facilities

Included Marseilles and Nice.  Also Aix-en-Provence.  First 2 stops were great; Aix-en-Provence was a little much "alone or on-our-own" time.

Toulon

Got to town right at the beginning of European student breaks; long lines at most stops but patient guides kept us entertained.

Wanted to do Ostia but not enough signed up.  Reluctantly took city tour.  The Vatican was great but most other points of interest were only drive-by.

Second trip to Pompeii; lots changed in 15 years.  Drive to Sorrento almost as good as walking around the town.  Guide steered us to a high end wood inlay shop run by a lady from Brooklyn (go figure).

Drove to the monastery on top of a hill with a fantastic view of the Adriatic.  Even though it was Sunday morning, we were allowed to visit the church (unusual). Well maintained gardens. Visit to city center included lots of unsupervised children on tricycles and scooters.

Cable car gave us a great view of the oldest settlements plus new parts of the city. What a shame so much of the old city was badly damaged in the 1990s!

Found some great little restaurants and bars in the alleyways off the main plaza. A real treat.

Wanted to see the world famous Murano glass factories; great demonstration. Sales people pressured most of us to buy something (great quality but very expensive).

Good guide; easy paced walk.  Really enjoyed visiting Jacques Cousteau home turf (the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco)

Nice boat ride from town to the park entrance.  Parts of the main path had washed out so the climb to the top of the waterfalls was a bit more strenuous than expected.  Views were super  Great guide entertained us with traditional stories and dance routines (included group members as dancers and players)

Guide basically left us to our own devices.  Missed part of the monastery because we didn't know about it till the water taxi picked us up.

Front Desk helped when our follow-on stay in Venice (not booked thru Viking) got off to a rocky start.This trip was the only one in our time frame that included the Amalfi Coast, Corfu and the Adriatic ports (Dubrovnik and Split).
