This is a review of a B2B that sailed 2 weeks through the Eastern Caribbean, Jan 14-28! Our first week we were in an Ocean View cabin on the 1st deck around mid ship. Our second week was a balcony on deck 7 near the rear elevator! Both cabins were quiet, everything worked fine, our hot water the whole cruise was really hot! Our cabin attendants both weeks did a very good job! We used room service every day for AM coffee/muffins, and it was free, and the service was very good! Carnival still offers free sandwiches all day, but have added a extra charge for some new items like chicken wings, etc.! At lunch we usually tried out the buffet, 2 times we tried the brunch in the MDR, and all was really good. From carved top round, bottom round, lamb, pork, we always found a really good selection! The deli was always making some great grilled sandwiches that I tried more then a few times! The only slightly negative again is the slow pizza, tasted good, but you always had to wait!-(( At dinner we always ate in the MDR, on your time dining, which is great! Even though we had 'your time', we always chose head waiter Orlin and his 2 helpers as our servers in the mid ship MDR, they were funny, great at making you feel welcome, were excellent at their jobs, and had us looking forward to their 'great dancing' each night! Late night snacks were a sandwich at the deli,(before 11 pm) or pizza later! Our week 1 itinerary was Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Amber Cove. On Nassau and Half Moon Cay, the weather was rainy, so we stayed on ship, we swam at the beach next to the pier at Grand Turk,,,,got sun burnt,-)), then went to Ocean World at Amber Cove! In the summer, can see this excursion filled with kids, as they'd really like it! Our week 2 itinerary was St Martin, St Kitts, San Juan, Grand Turk. At St Martin, we did the water taxi to the beach, and spent the day there,,,yep, sun burnt again,-)), St Kitts was a Carnival excursion to a beach, more fun, and more sun,-)), in San Juan on a cloudy day, we did the free trolley around Old San Juan, at Grand Turk, we didn't port because of windy conditions! We were told there would be added activities on this extra sea day, and an updated fun times, but that never seemed to happen! One thing we noticed was the Conquest sailed with a full ship, and it never seemed crowded other then the buffet on the first day-boarding, and our last day-leaving! Another thing we noticed, likely because of the dates, there were almost no kids on the ship, it felt like more of a Holland cruise then a Carnival cruise! Finally I'll finish that the Conquest in the theater shows has arguably the best 4 lead singers as a team! 2, I will let you guess which 2, are outstanding! Corporate needs to utilize them better! The can'ed singing during the middle of the 80's rock was a waste, these singers could easily have done better! Looking forward to see if singers on future cruises can compare favorably! Next up is a Feb/March Miracle cruise and review, a April Glory B2B cruise and review, followed by a May/June Vista B2B cruise and review, and of course comparisons!
