Sail Date: Jan 2018
Cabin: Interior Stateroom

Booked this cruise on an all inclusive package from uk. initial impressions were extremely good, however faded very quickly. transportation and embarkation were well organised and pretty fast. largest ship we have sailed to date and impressively stylish.

Cabin was ready by the time we eventually found it. Immaculately clean, spacious and well appointed. My only moan would be the shower curtain, really in this day and age?! helena, kept our cabin spotlessly clean throughout our 2 weeks, was friendly and helpful, could not be faulted!

Our 1st visit to guest services was met with a sour faced young women who just rudely pointed at the credit cards machine, when we asked about registering credit card to cabin account. Our 2nd was 24 hours later to remove the daily gratuities, which was met with no opposition or even questions what so ever. Obviously they are aware that they don't provide the level of service that warrants this charge! This is the 1st time i've ever done this and 100% happy i did by the time i disembarked.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin I2

Spacious, well appointed and kept spotlessly clean by Helena, even when we kept bringing back half the beach.

Port Reviews

Grenada

Friendly locals. Caught the usual water taxi to grand Anse and spent wonderful day soaking up the relaxing atmosphere.

Cheap chairs and beer, killer rum punches and beach guys giving 100% service better than the ship!!

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Great port for spot of shopping, especially for a diamond or 2!

Grabbed taxi $14 each return to Cockleshell beach. Cheap beds and beers, beautiful beach with stunning views!

Guadeloupe

Grabbed a taxi 20 euro return each to St Annes beach. Most taxi want to drop off at Club Med. Went to public beach on 1st visit to Guadeloupe, no chairs, lovely beach, calm for good swimming. Bar at far end wouldn't give password for wifi, even though we purchased plenty of beers.

Club Med 10 euro for VERY comfy beach lounger, could use beach bar and toilets. 7 Euro for worst strawberry daquari I've ever had. Bottle of very nice wine in ice bucket 22 Euro. Very relaxing day.

Antigua

Paid for our own private tour, down to Shirley Heights & Nelsons Dockyard, then spent rest of the day at Dickenson Bay. Spent day at our own leisurely pace, nice not being herded around with loads of others. Guide was older guy but knew what was what on Antigua for sure. Dickenson bay still as jaw dropping as ever, but I notice signs of erosion of beach since our last visit. Beach very narrow in places now, still gotta be one of the most beautiful beaches you'll ever see!

St. Vincent

Been round island several times so spent afternoon in cruise port soaking up Caribbean band, who sang and danced for hours, with very cheap Caribs and Wifi. Great Caribbean atmosphere, unlike our ship!

La Romana (Casa de Campo)

Walked through cruise port and caught communal taxi to Bayahibe beach. All taxi fares shown on board next to where taxi park. A third of the price being offered on the ship, with return time mutually agreed by passengers. Plenty of loungers and space to chill out on lovely beach, just pull your lounger to your peace of quiet. Got rained off but consoled ourselves with couple of HUGE beers and free wi fi.

Don't waste $$$ on the the train from port down to town, armed guards and not much to see, was the reports.

St. Lucia

Caught taxi to Rodney Bay, been many years ago, no change. Plenty of chairs, bars and good food options. Found bar serving Somersby cider, refreshing would be a understatement. It wont taste the same again without that stunning view!
