Cabin: Balcony

This was our 2nd time on the Epic. And while the food and entertainment plentiful and then some, we just can't take the balcony staterooms. The design and layout do not offer privacy for showering or toilet use - even tho NCL retrofitted with a hanging curtain to separate the room from the bathroom. Doesn't help. Nor does the sink being in the room. And let's not get started on the lighting in the rooms. Those really were the talk of the ship on our back to back.

Thoroughly enjoyed Priscilla and Cirque and Comedians. The EPIC Beatles are the best - a very strong tribute band. They packed the Cavern Club every performance night...literally folks sitting on the floor, SRO. Food services were abundant, but sometimes confusing. Shanghai is the free style Asian restaurant. but we learned that it NOW requires reservations. that was a recent change that was not publicized anywhere.

Overall, will cruise again no NCL (twice more this year), but will not likely return to the EPIC - twice was enough.

As noted above, the design is the room was motivated to maximize square footage instead of passenger comfort...and privacy is non-existent.
