The only black star I will give this cruise is the shopping venues on the ship during 1/23/2018. I always buy Cologne and my wife Perfume on our vacations. This time the lady seemed more interested in stocking and unboxing perfume and supplies then helping us. When I asked her to open a new bottle of cologne she dug out an old bottle from the garbage and said that I could smell the top. I asked for her manager because you can't buy cologne that way, you have to spray a piece of paper and give it time. The manager would not open a new tester also to which I replied "how can you buy something that you can't smell?" We ended up purchasing 3 bottles in a shop in town for less than what the ship would sell to us and on top of that they gave a discount because we were purchasing three bottles.

I have never been to Belize and wanted to visit that port so we chose Magic. We opted for the Spa Deck because we like the warm therapy beds and I am glad we did because it was colder than regular for the western caribbean. The room was nice and always kept up although the first day we did not receive our robes until the following morning and the room was very late to be made up. The food in the specialty restaurants was OK not crazy amazing, the one bit of advice would be that the staff was not attentive to coming back with bread and water, it basically was a little nicer food than the main dining room but you paid for it and I feel that we had better service in the main dining room. The entertainment would be the only thing I would give low marks on, in the past few years I have noticed that the entertainment was lacking in actual tallent.

Overall the ship was very nice and the staff was wonderful. I did get a bit tired of the Cruise directors singing the announcements in the morning.

Cabin Review

Spa Balcony

Cabin 8S

Cabin was you basic Carnival cabin. It has a review on youtube that said that it could be noisy because of the proximity of the gym but I will have to say that this was one of the most quiet rooms we have ever stayed in.
